Name: Chuuya Nakahara
Canon: Bungou Stray Dogs
Personality:
If there's anyone in the Port Mafia who fits the bill of your stereotypical mafioso, it's Nakahara Chuuya. Brazen and smug, the everyday Chuuya often wears a crooked smirk on his face; there's a definite overconfidence that he carries. When he's not talking big, bragging about his accomplishments or belittling his enemies, he's showing off, choosing to use his fancy gravity-powers to stand on the ceiling just to give his battles a bit of flair. There's a lot of pride that he has in himself, and it shows in the way he acts and speaks. Heck, it even shows in the lavish way he chooses to dress.
A lot about Chuuya screams 'larger-than-life', and he is. Quick to anger, Chuuya is loud; it's not uncommon to see him shouting about something, especially when a certain Dazai Osamu is involved. Not only is he loud, but when he delivers a death threat, there's a 95% chance he intends to follow through with it. Chuuya can be violent. The battlefield seems to be where he's most ecstatic, and there's nothing he loves more than tearing through it and crushing a good opponent. He's ruthless about it as well. Mercy isn't something Chuuya's ever been seen showing. When he delivers a kick, he often leaves craters in his wake, and that's probably one reason why his enemies come out with some pretty lasting damage (if they survive). It's difficult to tell how many Chuuya has killed, but as one part of 'Double Black', he once wiped out an entire organisation. Not even women and children seem to gain his sympathy.
Things only seem to get worse when he's around Dazai Osamu, his ex-partner. Chuuya's fuse becomes hair-trigger, and the slightest word from Dazai can send him flying off the handle. He really starts to act like a child, falling easily for Dazai's taunting - that, or he becomes a cartoon villain, shaking his fist at Dazai and vowing to kill him someday. There's an odd fixation Chuuya seems to have on Dazai; he purposely seeks him out to harrass him, and always seems to be raving about him when drunk. The animousity he has toward his ex-partner isn't something as simple as hate, though. He claims to want him dead, yet doesn't hesitate to rush to the other man's aid when he's seriously harmed. Rather than hate, what Chuuya feels toward Dazai appears to be bitterness - bitterness over the many times Dazai has played him like a fool, and bitterness that his partner had left. Of course, his stupid pride would never allow him to admit to the latter.
For all his unsavory traits, he's astoundingly loyal to the organisation he works for. Chuuya seems to take all his missions seriously, carrying them out without question. He also cares about his subordinates, appearing visibly troubled at the sights of their corpses and mourning their deaths. At his core, he doesn't seem to be a terrible person. He's the straight-laced, honest sort, his thoughts and emotions out there for all to see. He's also the trusting sort, quick to believe others even if they have double-crossed him in the past. With some other sort of upbringing, he might have learned to do good, but ...he was raised in the mafia, and it's really the only home he knows.
Sample Objectives:
Choking - either choking someone else or being choked, and in sexy situations or fight scenes. He feels nothing for it at the moment, but getting a high out of the act will probably make him start to question himself. Especially during a fight.
Pampering others - In canon, Chuuya often pampers himself with nice clothes, good food and expensive wines. With this as his objective, he'll derive pleasure from doing the same for others (dressing people up, paying for their things, body worship etc). Basically sugar-daddying it up.
Sample: Here!
Sample Game Mechanic: When he finds a person he likes or respects enough, he'll agree to be their servant if only to reap greater rewards. I'd love to play out the empathethic bond that comes with such a contract.
